Two new appointments to Tower Insurance’s executive should prove a safe bet, Tower CEO, Richard Harding, believes.
“I’m pleased to announce that Peter Muggleston has been appointed as our chief information officer… Peter is one of New Zealand’s most respected IT leaders and it’s a real coup for us to have him join our team,” he says.
“Peter has extensive experience leading significant digital and technology transformation programmes at some of New Zealand’s most well-known companies. His stewardship as we replace our core system will help drive improvement across all areas of our business.”
Similarly, Michelle McBride brings plenty of experience to Tower’s ‘top floor’, appointed as general manager, people and culture.
“Michelle comes in to Tower with a large agenda to keep driving this cultural change,” Mr Harding continues. “[She] brings significant international experience leading cultural change across a range of financial services, insurance and telecommunications organisations, including Vodafone, BNZ, Southern Cross Health Insurance and most recently, Westpac.
“The Board and I are pleased to welcome someone of Michelle’s calibre to our executive team and look forward to seeing her lead our people strategy, transforming the way we work.”
Mr Muggleston and Ms McBride will begin their new roles late November – early December.
