Boardertown bets on ‘The Bay’

boardertown-1bSnow, skate and apparel retailer retailer, Boardertown, bets the Bay of Plenty will prove the perfect location for its newest store. To be located at Tauranga’s The Crossing, the business’ fifth outlet will open in October,  Boardertown CEO, Tim Guy, confirms.

“It’s exciting for us to see that, while we do have a strong online offering, there’s still appreciation and demand for personal service from our in-store experts. That demand is what’s enabled us to increase our retail footprint and open in some dream locations such as Tauranga.”

Founded in 2004, Boardertown has grown from a single store in east Auckland.

“Boardertown was started by mates and has always been a passion project as well as a business. The expansion of our stores has seen us widen the friendship circle a little more each time building a Boardertown community at each of our locations in Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown and now Tauranga,” Mr Guy adds.

“We’re very excited to get to know the locals when we open and settle into life in The Bay.”
