Aktive Child on board of the ‘rings’

A former NZ hockey representative, Graham Child, has joined the New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) board.

“Growing up in rural Northland, my weekends were spent at either cricket, rugby or hockey, and this has given me a good appreciation of the positive impact sport has on society,” he says. “I am looking forward to this opportunity and adding value to the NZOC governance.”

Mr Child will also bring recent experience as board chair of Aktive –  a charitable trust focused on boosting participation in sport throughout Auckland.

He has also served as chair of Hockey NZ and on the 2017 World Masters Games’ board, and remains on the boards of Triquestra New Zealand, Sports Distributers NZ, Demi Holdings and Formway Distribution.
