Before ‘Forlong’, Cathy Brown held the position of Chair of the Dairy Women’s Network (DWN). Now, however, she is set to step down, replaced central North Island farmer, Karen Forlong.
“I really appreciate what a great privilege it is to find myself in this position now,” she says.
“Something I’ve learnt from Cathy, and hold very dear, is the fact that the gold is always in the room.”
A member of the network since its formation in 2000, Ms Forlong has undertaken various roles with the organisation, a not-for-profit focused on promoting women’s involvement in the dairy industry.
